Ruben Schachtenhaufen (b. 1975), PhD, phonetician, researcher and lecturer in Danish pronunciation, audio writing, phonetics and phonology at the University of Copenhagen.
He is behind [udtaleordbog.dk] (http://udtaleordbog.dk), [schwa.dk] (http://schwa.dk) and the book New Danish Phonetics (2023), which follows the conventions of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Schachtenhaufen has developed tools that, based on phonological and morphological rules, can transform written words into sound scripts that reflect Danish pronunciation variation.
