Join us for an atmospheric walking tour of Enebærodde by Odense Fjord, where nature is fresh and green and summer is just coming. Together we create the basis for your own juniper root schnapps — filled with flavors and scents from the coastal nature of Nordfyn.
Nature guide Bjarne Kim Petersen leads the tour through the open heath and coastal landscape, where we collect the first herbs of the season such as saltwort, virgin Marie's bedstraw and other fine, aromatic plants. Along the way, there is time to enjoy the light, the air and the quiet walk in the early summer landscape.
When the tour ends, you will take home a bottle of schnapps, so you can let the herbs brew yourself and create your very own juniper root schnapps — a small piece of bottled juniper root.
- The guide helps you find and pick the good herbs and plants for schnapps and gives good advice on what tastes good together and how to produce the best schnapps 😋
- Each participant is handed a bottle of clear schnapps, jars for herbs and a recipe.
- On the tour, guide Bjarne Kim also tells about nature and good stories about the past of the promontory Enebærodde
- You should also enjoy the amazing views of Odense Fjord and Kattegat!
- One bottle of schnapps per person is included
- We meet at the parking lot on Tygesvej near Enebærodde
- Remember to bring a basket for the herbs and a rose scissors/pruners for the herbs
- Remember to wear clothes after the weather
- The terrain can be both uneven and muddy and rocky, so wear good hiking shoes
- It is a good idea to bring both drinks and snacks
- The tour will take place on June 20, 14.00-16.30
